Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The top side panels are held snug against the frame side rails by spring loaded cables; aka tensioners.
It looks like one of your cables has "relaxed", most likely due to the end tip anchor coming loose.

i have the exact same issue, same exact spot too!
mine is not quite as drastic, though, but still.
I use my fingers and push the material down into the edge of the plastic trim, it doesnt require too much pressure to make it pop back into place, its a bit of a pain, but my car is 13 yrs old so i expected a couple of issues.
Put the top in the service position = 1/2 way up. Follow the welting (that won't stay in the frame slot) down to the end at the rear. You will (should) see that it contains a thin cable that ends in a crimped on eye. That cable is what tensions the top edge and holds it in place in the frame. It can pull out of the front crimp or the rear or break somewhere in the middle. There is also an elastic "strap" that goes side to side across the top. The strap helps guide both sides into their respective channels. Make sure that all of the cables/straps/springs are connected.
