Hi 987 Enthusiasts! I own a 987.1 Cayman S and found a 2010 Cayman S in my area. Unfortunately, I drove it, got hooked and am interested in buying it. The owner and I have a PPI scheduled for early this week. On my 987.1 I read a lot about preventative maintenance and replaced: AOS, waterpump, pulleys, belt, clutch, RMS, and fluids. Are the AOS and waterpump similar weak points on the 987.2? Also I read in another forum that the oil pickup between 2009 and 2010 are different. Is this true? I read in a lot of other threads that there's no significant difference between 2009-2012 987.2 engines. Any other advice for what to check prior to purchase would be much appreciated! Thanks!
