This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I have an 04' GT3 tied up and am doing some due diligence and hoping you all can help me understand DME vs odometer mileage to make sure there's nothing fishy going on. DME mileage 37,685 Odometer mileage 40147 Can someone help me understand the discrepancy? Anything to worry about?

POST 3Original post

Nothing looks fishy to me, infact looks like a well cared for GT3 with only the Range 1 over-revs happening long ago... If someone were trying to pull something on you, I would think it would be a lot more than just 3k miles... The older DME's didn't even record the miles, just the hours........so we would have to assume an average MPH to get an idea if the hours matched the miles... The DME shows 1 reprogramming procedure, so its possible that the reprogramming reset the miles, or maybe the DME was replaced with a new one at 3k miles under warranty... So I wouldn't worry about it, the DME also shows the original transmission # , you could physically check the Trans # to see if it was original if you worry about these things...
