Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've had the battery disconnected several times, so it doesn't seem that a power cycle will reset the module either.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi all, I've got an '06 Cayman project that I've been working on that i'm having an issue with the front control module that I have not been able to resolve. Both the front fog lights and the frunk compartment light will not illuminate. I'm able to see the associated inputs go active in Durametric, and i'm also able to activate the output lines and the lamps illuminate as expected. No fault codes are indicated either. I've read a few threads online from others with a similar problem, who have been able to resolve this by 'resetting' the module. I've tried changing the coding, and doing a backup/restore in an effort to 'reset' the module, but to no avail. I've had the battery disconnected several times, so it doesn't seem that a power cycle will reset the module either. I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to reset the module, perhaps via the command line in Durametric? TIA -kk
