Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

While doing an oil chage I notice one of the inside cv boots has a tear on our 2001 s box. I was considering pulling both sides out and changing all the boots. Ran into this online new axle assembly . Anyone know why these are so cheap? And would you use them? Thanks

POST 2Original post

I had the same question about 3 years ago. I PM'd several folks whose opinions I respected, and (IIRC) got basically this: FEQ equipment is Chinese-made which, in some instances, ends up being good quality. In others, not so much. The general consensus was that they may be fine, but none of the people I talked with would be willing to take that chance. The one exception being if you weren't planning on keeping the car long before selling it.

POST 3Original post

No experience with FEQ. But I have had bad experiences with Chinese suspension/driveline parts. I put Beck/Arnley (Made in China) upper control arms on my Lex GS, all of the rubber rotted inside of 8 months... If you do go with them, let us know how they are...
