I use Porsche filters so I just pick one for my other cars.

It would be cool if I can double-up with the $10 coupon but I suspect they won't run the sales concurrently.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Is that from what washed ashore in Mobile, Alabama last year? :hilarious:
Sorry couldn't resist, there is no e at the end of Mobil.... take it away Dan Quayl!
Thanks! I may even print it twice and see if they'll take two on 10 quarts.
It's amazing how much oil this car requires. I have no idea where it puts it all.
Re: $10 off 5 quarts of Mobil 1 at AutoZone
Thanks for the heads-up. An oil change will be due for my car pretty soon. Now I can blow the savings on extra gas.
If your car is using a lot of oil then you have a problem. Get it checked out. AOS is a common culprit but could be something more serious like scored cylinders etc.

Sorry, I know this has been discussed before, but how much oil is "a lot"? I know you had an issue with your engine, K-Man; do you recall how much oil you were using when you noticed the problem? When I use my Cayman as a daily driver (ca. 320 miles per week), I add 1/5 to 1/4 a liter of 0W-40 every few weeks. If I take the car to the mountains and drive fast for a few hours (ca. 400 miles all told) I need to add about the same amount the next day. Does this sound normal? I ask because I have a 5K miles or so left on the warranty, so if there is a problem, I'd prefer to get it documented and addressed now.
I went to autozone today to buy oil. You can't use two coupons to buy 10 quarts in one transaction. The store clerk had no problem ringing up five quarts twice though.
Be a smart shopper and compare. I've heard from someone else that the savings may not be that great (compared to Wal-Mart for example) as Autozone's oil tends on the expensive side to start with. I haven't confirmed this but thought I'd pass it along.
-Moto
Wal-mart never seems to carry 0W40 around here.
The best deal I've found is Autozone's 5 quarts plus a filter for $30. I use Porsche filters so I just pick one for my other cars. They run that special pretty regularly. It would be cool if I can double-up with the $10 coupon but I suspect they won't run the sales concurrently.
Moto is right, your local Wal-Mart's oil is probably cheaper. The Wally-World here here has 0W-40 for $2 a liter cheaper than the local Auto Zone. So even with the coupon the price is only as good as the regular Wal-Mart price. However, if your Auto Zone carries the 5-liter containers, then it may be a different story. For me it wasn't such an issue; I had to pick some things up from Auto Zone anyways, and my local Wal-Mart is hit or miss as far as keeping the 0W-40 in stock.
I try to avoid walmart at all costs. That and I can walk to an autozone. And they're ok with me bringing my dog in there. They didn't have 5 liter jugs in there though, so I walked out with 10 bottles.
Does walmart accept used oil for recycling?
