Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I always liked the clean appearance of the late 996 noses. Anyone else out there agree, and have shots of your own?

POST 2Original post

I am a scuba diver and from the side the 996 have the lines of a shark. Aero Dynamic noses for speed when needed.

POST 3Original post

Boy I dunno.. I was at the local indy the other day and he had a newer unit in there with the new headlights and rounded off hood and it look at lot more tradional Porsche. But I certainly see what you mean from this angle

POST 5Original post

Nobody knows there's a "problem" with the 996 nose/front end unless they frequent Porsche online forums. If you appreciate it for what it is, as pictured above, it's actually quite nice looking. I really like that photo.

POST 6Original post

i like it better than the 997,tired of that attitude about more traditional looking, they are all real porsche....996 facelift is beautiful!

Beautiful detailing on your car!

POST 9Original post

I HATED the fact that is shared the eyes with the boxter. I acquired eye covers and had them painted to match. I have been MUCH happier for going on a dozen years, since install. They look as good as they did 12 years ago.

POST 10Original post

I have always like the nose of the 2 as well as the 4S/turbo. Dan thanks for the great thread.

POST 11Original post

I think the 996 GT3 RS has the sexiest nose. :-)

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Never let anyone tell you that your front ends are less attractive than any others! Also, it's hard still to beat the back end of a 996 C4S!
