Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My choice to go with the 3.2 was semi-accidental but turned out to be the perfect fit for me - I may never change...unless a 964 track car I am watching falls into my lap

I filled the tank in the am and when we arrived home in Maine, my Porsche indicated we still had 50 miles left to travel, even though the gas gauge was near the empty mark.

I lost track of my old car...but the last owner sold it when it was well north of 140k miles - It did have a cam solenoid go out that caused a CEL - but was repaired, he opted to do both sides rather than just fix the one that went out -

My C2 ran perfectly, and we never even turned on the radio going down to Conn.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yesterday my wife and I departed from Southern Maine to Conn. to celebrate her Fathers 99th birthday. We drove 345 miles round trip and averaged 24.3 miles per gallon, at an indicated 80 mph on the highways. I filled the tank in the am and when we arrived home in Maine, my Porsche indicated we still had 50 miles left to travel, even though the gas gauge was near the empty mark. My C2 ran perfectly, and we never even turned on the radio going down to Conn. Ambient temp. was 52 degrees F, and my coolant temp. read a constant 89 degrees C both ways.Just thought I'd share a quick trip with my 99'(don't ever buy this model year) 3.4 Porsche that had me smiling all day.
Steve,
I lost track of my old car...but the last owner sold it when it was well north of 140k miles - It did have a cam solenoid go out that caused a CEL - but was repaired, he opted to do both sides rather than just fix the one that went out -
and still never touched that three letter acronym we all hate to see
as far as I know she is still local, but I havent seen or heard who has it - great cars and every once in a while I even miss it a little.
My choice to go with the 3.2 was semi-accidental but turned out to be the perfect fit for me - I may never change...unless a 964 track car I am watching falls into my lap
and where are the pics of this "supposed trip"
You're right Ed, because so many suggest that the 99MY in particular is not the one to buy, and my experience(6 years of ownership) has been exceptional. Sorry guys, no pics were taken because I had a smile on my face most of the time enjoying some seat time in the Porsche and was too busy driving.
Sounds like a great trip. Saturday turned out to be quite nice, too. It was supposed to rain all day and we were surprised by quite a bit of morning and early afternoon sunshine! I got stuck piloting our Odyssey all weekend so consider me jealous.
That's sounds like a great weekend. Heading to Flagstaff, AZ Wednesday for an overnight golf trip. 7 different geological climates in less that 2 hours climbing from 1,000' to over 7,000'. Once of the prettiest drives in the west.
Glad you had a good trip. Mine is a '99 also and it's been a great car.
BTW, I was in Bar Harbor a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Great place!
^Agree. We are lucky to live on the coast just over the NH border(Piscataqua River) along the back channel. Driving up the coast of Maine is a great trip, especially in a Porsche.
