Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone know how to remove the gas filler flip cover? I search this sight and all over the internet and nada. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, dave-t

POST 2Original post

Why do you want to remove it? . Since it is on a hinge aren't there attachment points at the hinge? I haven't ever looked at mine with the thought of taking it off, but I'd there are no obvious bolts at the hinge then there must be hidden ones in the fender and I suspect taking out the wheel well inner fender liner would let you access them but that's just a guess. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=38.899768,-94.736042 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk which means I'm probably traveling at the moment so please excuse any brief or hurried replies, spelling errors, etc. Etc.

I want to remove it so when I have my Clearbra put on you don't see the seam around the edge, also waxing around it will be easier. dave-t

POST 4Original post

I guess you're getting the full fender kit? I only got half fender...so it misses the filler door. That said, I did notice a tiny rock hit above the fenderline yesterday... ed

POST 5Original post

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will ask Rob tomorrow if he can work around it.

POST 6Original post

Ok I went and looked and there is a silver rod that runs through a black plastic piece, the door is attached to the rod via other plastic. The black plastic is clipped in two places to the body of the car, you just unclip from behind and the door comes off. Get a little mirror out and a pen light and you'll be able to see it.

I can send the Porsche Shop Manual that describes how to remove it. PDF file. Just send me your Email address. John
