Since Porsches didn't come with Interstate Batteries I suspect this was already changed once.

Before I end up with a key stuck in the ignition, want to replace the car battery before it even thinks of quitting on me. I am wondering if it is on its way out. 2007 Cayman S bought used and it has an Interstate battery in it. No idea how old. Battery shows 12.2 volts with no load. Drove car all around today, parked it, with alarm on for about 4 hours. Attached CTEK charge. Still charging (not green) after 30 minutes. I would have expected it to be green almost immediately. Engine seems to crank OK. - Phil

Since Porsches didn't come with Interstate Batteries I suspect this was already changed once. Also, even after a spirted drive, my Sears battery maintainer takes some time before showing "green". Less often it will show green within a couple minutes, but it's not unusual for it to take a half hour or so. And if the trip was just a short errand, even longer. I wouldn't worry about it if that's your only issue.:cheers:

I am in Puerto Rico, and the local dealer, installs Interstate batteries in most cars. Is this policy for PR only, or other dealers in North America have that option? I do not know. Just another data point. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=18.201182,-66.111048

I have a 2008 CS. I noticed it starting a bit lazy when hot. I had the battery checked and it was showing 65% storage capability. It is a daily driver 12 miles each way. I had the dealer (Porsche) change out. He gave me the choice of Porsche or Interstate and said he honestly recommended Interstate.

Some auto parts shops offer free battery test. Give them a try, you might not need a new one. Good Luck.
