Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quick question guys Speed Yellow, just how rare is it? Particularly in C4S guise Is it possible to check how many of these car are still around? Tried some of the online checks but none seem to show actual figures based on colour etc...

POST 2Original post

Very rare.... I think around 30 Speed Yellow C4S worldwide - both manual/trip RHD/LHD. I know around 8-10 cars through instagram, including my own C4S. A friend has his SY C4S for sale through RPM Tech very soon. However its a LHD (Qatar import). Very clean example but Tip gearbox. Are you searching for a SY 996 C4S?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Not looking but paining over the decision to sell my own or not. 2002 C4S, manual, sunroof, PSE, hollow spoke turbo rims, colour coded hard back sports seats & matching seat belts etc Last one I saw advertised was £27k at a dealer but that was well over a year ago ... have a guy wanting to buy mine & given that I haven't done 1000 miles in 3 years ... I'm tempted to sell it

POST 4Original post

Nice, they are special in Speed Yellow and desirable to those that love the colour - demand a premium. What sort of mileage has your C4S covered? History etc? The market has certainly picked up for 996s, its a bit all over the place with some C4S above £30k. Sell if you are looking for something new, GT3, air cooled etc otherwise it certainly won't lose you any money keeping hold of it. Have you got any pictures of your C4S?

POST 5Original post

I was reading an article about global and recent trends in car purchasing and ownership. Less than 1% of all passenger cars are ordered in yellow, so it is always going to be a rarer vehicle no matter what manufacturer you are considering. Personally, I love yellow and over the years have owned several cars in that hue. Avenger Tiger, Opel Kadett coupe, Boxster (x2), Mazda RX4 Coupe, DeTomaso Pantera and series 3 E type. How much do I wish I had kept even one of them :eh!:

POST 6Original post

I'm also a fan of SY, and after about 6 months of searching found my 997 C4S in SY with the added bonus of factory fitted aerokit and X51 Powerkit. It also has Bose, Sports Exhaust and Satnav and is a manual 2007 version. I love it! I agree with Yas.SYC4S - if someone's looking for a 911 in SY, they're likely to pay a premium for one. Do you have a photo of it?

POST 7Original post

Thats stunning mate and what a spec :thumb: :thumb:

POST 9Original post

Wow! Stunning 997 with aero kit! Very rare with factory aero, X51 & SY plus all the other good stuff like PSE!! Great find! Here is my SY C4S, one off spec - manual, GT3 seats, PSE, sunroof delete, Carbon fibre interior...

POST 10Original post

Great spec cars boys. Gotta love speed yellow :thumb: works really well with the contrast of the black bits on all 911 derivatives.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the heads up guys ... Here's a few pics of mine http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Milko/library/911 C4S

POST 14Original post

Another Speed Yellow C4s right here. Very interesting to read that there only a limited few worldwide in this colour. Im not selling (only owned for about 9 months) 51k and in mint condition.

POST 15Original post

Lovely 997 C4S, again with the aero kit! It sure is a keeper. Regarding my earlier post, I was highlighting around 30 Speed Yellow 996 C4S worldwide. I am not sure on the number of 997 C4S in SY let alone with factory aero kit... got to be only a handful of cars. Milko – Lovely 996 C4S, great example and as you know rare colour/spec. Sort after for those that want one. Tough decision to sell, I think future values for such examples will only go one way. Would be a sight to see all our SY 911s out for a drive/meet, Anyone around the London to Goodwood area?
