I believe that they turn PSM off when dyno testing a car which what they are doing without measuring hp or torque.

I will be getting the Cayman smogged in CA soon for the first time. Does anyone know if the PSM should be off during the test? The rear wheels will be "driven" on the rollers while the fronts are obviously stationary. Just wondered if this will cause any unwanted codes to be thrown that will delay the test getting completed. Thanks.

Just had my car smogged today. Tried to explain the PSM off button to the tech. He tuned me out. Told me to wait in the room. Sure enough sometime later, he shuts off the engine and restarts it. Of course PSM is enabled now. Test completes - but I have the trifecta of lights now on (ABS, PSM, Engine). He had to clear the Engine code. And driving a short distance cleared ABS & PSM. Hate it when people don't listen. Also, he did not have to see the engine. I thought I would have to remove the cover. Car ran extremely clean. Zero NO, .01% CO, and 5 HC.
