Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi All, Does anyone know the difference between sound quality differences between CDR-24 and PCM 2.1? I tried searching on this, but didn't find much. Some suggested that PCM units produce more power. I'm looking to change my CDR to PCM because: 1. Wanted the car to look better (hahaha) 2. Wanted to preserve the OEM look 3. More importantly, I find the CDR unit very messed up. With "loudness" turned on, the bass is way too strong even went I turn it to negative bass setting, while bass is non-existent with loudness turned off. Then, I find volume setting 5 too quiet, and 6 too loud. So I'm looking to rectify the big volume increment issue and bass problem using PCM. Has anyone noticed that? The last but not the least, what is the difference between: 997.642.101 997.643.131 997.643.141 I only know they all have internal amplifiers, but would all of them work on my CS 08? (So the extra speakers are present already) Thanks guys
