Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

This is a stupid question, but should I use my CTEK battery maintainer while my Cayman's stereo system is upgraded? (I have the sound system plus, and will be getting a Reus upgrade with a new equalizer, subwoofer, some replacment speakers, etc). It will probably take the whole day. Does this kind of work (doors open, etc.) drain the battery, and if so, in such a short period of time? I've been reading here a lot about how "fragile" our batteries are to drainage. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I would hope that the battery would be disconnected during most of this to prevent an electrical miscues.
