Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Im buying my first porsche, looking for a cayman, and I have been driving myself crazy I am looking for a weekend toy that I can eventually turbo and use for track days. I have narrowed my search to 2009 and up. The 2 cars I am considering are: 2010 cayman s with 78k miles, NE car that has been driven year round, overly maintained at a dealer, and detailed several times a year. Cayman sport R suspension package? 2010 base 40k miles, loaded up nice, nav, leather trim, ect. The base has way less miles and is about 5k cheaper. Thoughts? I have never driven a cayman, or even a Porsche and anything I buy will be a long distance deal.

POST 2Original post

you should definitely go drive them! figure out what you like. make sure they run good and dont make any noises other than what you would expect. Cayman is a great car!

POST 3Original post

Check with Vision Motorsports. Dwain gets Cayman rollers often and can fashion whatever powerplant you wish to use. It's a good turnkey option with a motor built, engineered, and well prepared for turbo if that is your goal.

POST 4Original post

I ended up buying a 2010 Cayman S. I don't think it will ever get a turbo, and im ok with that Great car.

POST 5Original post

Great car, I also have a 2010 Cayman S, if you have a PDK car the sports chrono really makes a big difference, if you do not have it it can be added at a Porsche Dealer, I had it added to my Cayman about a month after I had it.
