As a result it is factory tested for appropriate downforce and is way more resilient when it comes to driveway and curb impacts than any other after market splitter.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
Well by popular demand we now have the first prototype of our new front spoiler/splitter. Made of semi rigid Urethane this spoiler is produced for Composite Concepts in Germany and is eligible to meet the German TUV standards. The spoiler matches the profile of the GT3 Cup splitter and is made especially for the 2006 2012 Cayman and Boxster. We have a couple of minor changes to make and will have the production unit for sale by January 15. All attachment hardware is included. The price will be $429 plus freight. This splitter is a perfect match for our GT4 style carbon fiber wing and GT5 style side scoops. I will include more pictures in my next post.

We got our first production splitter unit mounted yesterday and I am really happy with the fiT. I also did a test fit on a 2006 Boxster and she fits well. Here are photos of the unit. It will also fit 981's with the addition of a spacer in the center grill area. Again, it is produced in Germany by the same firm that makes the factory GT3 Cup splitter and is identical in material profile and mounting hardware to that very competitive component. It is a perfect match for our GT4 style rear wing and GT4 style side scoops. I look forward to your response.

boy this not cheap
how about a group buy?
this can make it possible to you offer a better pricing and still make fare profit.
anyway - i need to know it works on 2010
Boxster
(
987.2
).
from other discussions and splitters from other vendors it looks like
987.1
/
987.2
Boxster/Cayman
all have different front bumpers - 4 versions in total
For those who want a longer version here is a picture of a longer version that will fit some cars. This looks good but from an aero standpoint on 987's the downward slope of the splitter as it goes back to the wheel well is not good. Great fit on many 996's.

This looks exactly like the profile of the 996
GT3
Cup front lip. I had one on mine a few years back. Looks good!
Is this also the same material as the 996 splitter or is this FRP /Fiberglass?
This is the exact same material (urethane), profile and manufacturer (German) as the
GT3
Cup splitter. As a result it is engineered EXACTLY like the factory
GT3
Cup part but manufactured for a
981 Cayman
and
Boxster
fitment. It attaches with the factory hardware (included) in factory locations. As a result it is factory tested for appropriate downforce and is way more resilient when it comes to driveway and curb impacts than any other after market splitter. It is different from the factory splitter only in that it is designed to fit 987
Caymans
and Boxsters and I am currently working on finalizing
981
and
718
fitment. (2-3 weeks)
It requires no paint or drilling in show surfaces. Does require small mounting holes in factory locations on the non visible underside, non show surface of the bumper. You can easily remove in 15 minutes with absolutely NO negative visual impairment to your car.

There isn't much to see under the bumper. It attaches to the bumper in the same locations and with the same hardware as the factory GT3 Cup splitter. It looks and works great. This is all the pictures I have right now I will try to add others over the weekend.

All, I am in production and officially offering the new Composite Concepts front splitter for all 987 Cayman's and Boxsters. The price for PCA members and Planet 9 is $429 plus freight. As stated earlier this is produced by the same manufacturer as the GT3 Cup splitter and attaches with all Porsche hardware provided. It is made of the same urethane as the factory splitter and is dimensionally the same. It will resist all but the worst curb bumps and is about as aggressive as you would want for a street/track splitter on a lowered car. It is a perfect compliment to our GT4 style wing and side scoops. I also have prototypes of the 981 and 718 version but need two cars to finalize the design. Is there anyone in the South Florida area willing to let me install and take pictures of their car? If you are happy I would only charge $200 for the splitter. If you are unhappy I would remove and buy you a beer.
Please reach out and help me support all of these development efforts. This splitter is world class and I need to recover my development costs. You will love it. I have a secret development that is in the early stages but should be available in about two months. It will be a super next step in Composite Carbon's focus on providing world class aero-products for all Cayman Boxster models. As usual call or write me if you have any questions or comments.

No, They are not on our website yet. We are working on it but we have been so busy developing new products and getting production going that we have been showing new products here and on ebay. I will be glad to answer any questions either here, by email or by phone.

Hi All, I just got this amazing feedback from Chris M from Longmont CO who has seen some real improvements in his track times in his 3.8 987 Cayman:
"Jon,
Just want to say thank you for getting me such an awesome front spoiler that I have been looking for years...
It has completely limited that little front lift created by the extra power of the 3.8...which is sweet, sweet, sweet!"
Chris M, Longmont CO
This is the perfect match with our all Carbon Fiber "Trackmaster wing with GT4 winglets" ($875) or with our all Carbon Fiber exact replica "GT4 wing" ($1025) These products work on the race track and street. Call or email me with questions.

For the

Isn't that simply a 996
GT3
cup lip most places sell for under two hundred dollars. Looking at the picture of the piece by itself even the hole locations are identical to the
GT3
piece.
Well Joe, I appreciate the critique of a competitor but you are wrong. While the profile of our splitter is the same, a
GT3
cup splitter will not fit directly to a
Cayman
or
Boxster
. By working with the German supplier we were able to produce a modified version of the
GT3
Cup splitter that is specifically engineered to fit all 987 cars. While the profile is identical to the
GT3
cup splitter, the overall shape is considerably different and custom produced to fit all 987
Porsche
's. In addition, by being a factory based part it is made of urethane and as a result manages minor shuts with ease, No cracked FRP or Carbon fiber. No repaint. I recently had one of my customers get into a minor off track shunt. The splitter was pulled off the car but he was able to find it, clean up some scratches and reinstall. This splitter works, is a custom fit for 987's and works better than CF or FRP at a better price and easier install.
