Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I sometimes use the PF's with GT3 cup rotors.......excellent!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Afternoon all,
Has anyone had any experience in swapping the PCCB's on a 996 tt for steel or Alcons?
I understand that JZM do an Alcon replacement but most other sites I have looked at only do for the GT's which I understand have different disc??? offsets? :dont know:
Any advice would be great as slightly terrified by the circa £20k
replacement quotes for the PCCB's

Just in case you don't want to go mad(re costs), consider fitting Performance Friction pads with these rotors and you will have great brakes. Then you can keep a look-out/start saving for PCCB's as they do come up.
Remember - using a car with defective brakes is a serious offence. If you get involved in a prang and your PCCB's are shot then you will be in trouble.
Any decent mechanic can fit discs and pads in 1.5 hours if your not handy with the tools.

Thanks Wizzard, fortunately the ceramics are all good at the mo, just thinking that changing to steel will be a better financial option, I use it as a virtually daily driver and am no track god.
Just looked at the site they seem to be standard discs not the 350mm as per ceramics. may be off on a tangent but doesnt that involve me having to change calipers as well as discs etc??
...hmmm I was sure they had 350mm steels for the turbo on that page. Try e-mailing them as they are very helpful.
Also, Agency power do 996TT fronts, so again have a chat with the porscheshop guys as the 350mm steels units may be readily available now

If your not into track work, steels and PF pads will be absolutely fine and on a 4wd TT you will hardly notice the extra weight increase.
Thanks Wizzard, this is my problem it seems you GT boys have all the options but the tt ceramics are bell mounted and for some reason the offset is different to the GT hence a bit of a b*gger to find.
Or if you do they charge!!
So far the only ones I know to fit are the Alcon kit from JZM but with the issues some have had with PCCB's I am hoping there are others out there.
NXI20 great spot thank you. Will do some digging but looks promising,
Where in south bucks are you? I'm often out hedgerley way, would be fascinated to see your beast when the weather eases.
