This is not a probability of success.

I have actually got the 997 shifter, rather than the 996 short shifter, as recommended by Exeter and a few guys on here.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Supply & fit a 997 Short Shifter to my 996 turbo, UNDER £300 !!!! (£298 and few pence) You upcountry boys must have more money than sense :floor: Well, I thought it was very good value, especially with the wash n hoover to get the road salt off !!

POST 2Original post

I am thinking of having that modification to my C4S or the std 997 shifter. Were you really impressed when you drove it home? :?:

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have actually got the 997 shifter, rather than the 996 short shifter, as recommended by Exeter and a few guys on here. What made me notice the difference was my previous C2 had the short shift and the turbo, when I got it didn't and longer throw on the gearstick was a 'detraction' The drive home after was much more comfortable and pleasing again. I would recommend it as in the great scheme of Porsche ownership, it's not that pricey.

POST 4Original post

Convinced me Pete, especially at that price, gonna give them a call tomorrow ...
