Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking to replace the rear discs/pads/sensors on my turbo. Considering asking the garage whether they will fit parts I supply. Does anyone have any experience with any of the below? I am sure it's been debated at length before, but my search didn't yield much. http://www.design911.co.uk http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/ Any info, or tips on which discs and pads to go for much appreciated.

POST 2Original post

Textar/Pagid pads are OEM and look for Zimmermann/Sebro/Brembo discs. Design 911, Porscheshop and Type 911 sell OEM parts. I got mine from Eurocarparts and GSF.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for that info, I was thinking to order the necessary parts from them and see if there is a garage that will fit supplied parts. As far as I can see, complete disc sets are ca. £320 incl., whereas I am quoted around £460 + VAT from garages. Does anyone know a garage in the South East who will do this? I have read the posts on DIY - I have very little car maintenance experience. Try it, or avoid?
