One of the main ingredients of Coke is Phosphoric acid, nasty stuff but great at cleaning glass.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, not the sort consumed with a £20 note, I am taking about the stuff that comes in red cans - do you know its great for cleaning road dirt and wax build up off your windscreen. One of the main ingredients of Coke is Phosphoric acid, nasty stuff but great at cleaning glass. Just don't get any on your bodywork and rinse the glass well after.

POST 2Original post

Did you know that vinegar is great for neutralising the smell of fox pooh after your dog has rolled in it? When I comes to glass, I think I'll stick with one of these instead of Coke!

POST 3Original post

Thanks, but when it comes to fox pooh, I think I'll stick to washing it off, rather than just masking the smell with vinegar. :thumb:

POST 4Original post

Washing it off doesn't completely eradicate the smell of fox pooh, whereas vinegar (malt or white apparently works) neutralises the smell completely, it doesn't just mask it. I'd be using something that smells better than vinegar if I just wanted to mask it! :wack:

POST 5Original post

Cheese and onion? With respect, if an odor is still being released, then you still have a residue. I'd still go with washing it off, only problem is it's an oil based aromatic, and dogs hate it when you wash them in white spirit.

POST 6Original post

When my car windows are filthy I mask off the bonnet, rub fox ***** all over them then coat my neighbours dog with coke. Job's a good un.

POST 7Original post

Just to clarify, before the PDSA or RSPCA get in touch, never wash your dog in white spirit. You could probably wash your windows with it, though.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cyrus, is that as in the company that makes those weedy little plastic radiograms jobbies - Krell every time for me, though its pretty crap at masking fox poo smells... Ps, had never heard if Invisible Glass, seems to have good reviews on net but could only find it for sale on Fleabay in the UK - just ordered a bottle (£13 inc p&p) be interesting to see if it lives up to the hype?

POST 10Original post

I thought rubbing in tomato source on your dog was very good for fox turds :dont know: The trouble with having Springers is their diet sems to consist of eating stray turds as some sought of delicacy :nooo:. It's just not right If you wash your windscreen with coke and then rinse with water does that not defeat the object :dont know:

POST 11Original post

Zingers, it's the vinegar in the tomato sauce that get's rid of the smell of the Mr Fox's doo-doo....just that vinegar is slightly less messy than a big dollop of Heinz's best and less obvious on a white dog! Most gamekeepers, guns and beaters I know swear by the wonder of Sarsons. My dog eats all manner of turds....including rabbit, cow, swan, goose, cat & horse. Truly disgusting, but not far off some of the more obscure Chinese delicacies experienced by Mr. Pilkington.

POST 12Original post

Some hilarious stuff written above, keep it coming. I clean my window with normal fairy washing up liquid and then dry off with newspaper as the ink on newspapers act as a cleaning agent.

POST 13Original post

Do a search as there is a good tale of how a fox managed to lay a turd in one of our members trainers when he left them outside - 5.6 for technical merit :thumb:

POST 14Original post

post of the day on a Porsche forum.....do you post on mums.net too :floor:

POST 15Original post

No matter about neutralizing the fox poo, when my Whippet lets one go you pray for "Just fox poo" & have to vacate the room fast!!
