Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Replace below 600 ma or above 1300 ma' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace below 600 ma or above 1300 ma' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

No change below 600 mA or above 1300 mA.

No unique explicit quoted action; no causal link assigned

POST 1Original post

As part of my PASM retrofit project into my 09 BoxsterS PDK , I acquired a set of 09 CaymanS factory PASM coilovers. For fun I took em to a shock dyno. (Many thanks to the kind folks over at Elephant Racing!) I took several plots of a front damper as I varied the current (about 600 to 1300 mA... I think I skipped one step though). No change below 600 mA or above 1300 mA. Some observations: Huge dynamic range. Rebound at 5 ips varies over a 6:1 ratio. These In the softer settings, low-speed bump and rebound are symmetric, which I like. These shocks are twin-tube. See large hysteresis at the stiff settings.

POST 2Original post

Nice work. Actually better than I though! I think these shocks could support much stiffer springs. No longer have PASM car but hope this finds value for some here.

POST 3Original post

This is very interesting. Help me read it please: 1. right side is rebound, left side is compression? 2. "Shallower" graphs (closer to the 0 y-axis) are softer settings? 3. which parameter is on the Y axis? Damping force or something lie this? Link to higher resolution picture will be much appreciated
