Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Allow us to tweak our own engine timings, adjust our own fueling trims, maybe tune the engine for different octane gas where available (I can get higher octane gas here for example).
Leading evidence: 'Adjust own fueling trims, maybe tune the engine' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust own fueling trims, maybe tune the engine' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

As for dyno gains that is a little way out as of right now, but I do begin testing Monday with one of our local guys and I will keep you all posted as to what we find.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello Everybody,
I in the beginning stages of building some type of ECU platform for the Cayman. It will work for Cayman and Cayman S as well as custom tuning if you decide to go turbo or supercarged.
I am just trying to gather some feedback as to what the community would like.
Let me know guys I am all ears on what you would like.
Thanks,
Mitch Mckee

I'd like to see laptop tuning for the Cayman.
Something for more "advanced" users or enthusiasts who don't want to just "flash and go".
Allow us to tweak our own engine timings, adjust our own fueling trims, maybe tune the engine for different octane gas where available (I can get higher octane gas here for example).
Also it would be nice to see some actual power gains!
I agree with you 100%. That is something that I would like to see as well and that is one of the points of doing this.

Still looking for more feedback guys so keep it coming.

You can do that with the Softronic flash, I know because they are working on a custom one for me to try with the plenum to see if it will cure the issue the car currently has.
On the subject of letting users adjust their own fuel trims, etc. I think that could actually be pretty dangerous in that some people might try to go outside safe limits and I can guarantee you the number of people on the planet that fully understand all of the ramifications in the new Motronic 7.8+ systems is probably less than I have fingers. So while tweaking one value may "seem" ok it could have negative ramifications elsewhere and I'd hate to see a buyer blow up their ECU or their Cayman and then try to blame the tuner that sold them the ability to do so, I could envision some real nastiness there...
True but with most software it can be set up to limits. So lets say it has a global gain in terms of an ignition trim, it can only go to lets say +- 3 degrees.
Things like this can give the end user a little more if needed without giving them the controls to ultimate failure.
But this is the kind of thing I am looking for, feedback.
Thank you for the input K-man this is something that will need to be addressed.
Mitch
A little box with buttons and a tail the plugs into the obd port.
The buttons should read: "read", stock, mod (for 91 and above ONLY), and race (for 100 octane).
Raise the rev limiter a bit and remap the AFRs to leverage higher octanes.
Sell it for $500 and you will have inventory problems.
Do you really think owners who cannot deal with the sensitive key or a bunch of other simple stuff really need to be turned loose with those kind of adjustments?
I agree it would make for very good reading. Any adjustments that could be given or allowed to a user should just be included in the programming in the first place to make it automatic. A DME that can figure out what to fire the next cylinder at 7000 rpm's and higher doesn't require much human interface.
I don't think you guys need to go nuts, just get a good meat and potatoes program going and sell it at a good price. As long as the power and driveability are close to what the other chips offer and make it a bargain.
Is anybody here interested in a good buy on a performance product?
