Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had the car MOTd at the wknd and the car has a observation in relation to corroding brakes lines ... on the main front to back brake pipes..Anyone fitted new lines? is it best getting pre made lines or making them up yourself...?

POST 3Original post

When I faced a similar problem I have previously made up brake hard lines myself but it did require a specific flaring tool (bubble flare) for brake line fittings. It wasn't overly hard to locate the required tool (in Australia at least). The lines and fittings should be readily available. A small diameter tube bender is also useful for doing a professional job. Having said all that I haven't actually traced the lines from front to rear so I don't know how complex the routing is. Mind you when your doing it yourself you can do it in sections with joiners.

POST 4Original post

id rather have the original ones . look on ebay for someone breaking one near your home and see if he will sell u the set
