I have changed the external air temperature sensor which is located in the o/s air intake duct/hole in the front vallance.

The outisde air temperature display doesn't show at all on my dash LCD display just below the digital speedometer. Any ideas why? Was this an option that wasn't ticked on my car? Do certain models not have this feature? I have changed the external air temperature sensor which is located in the o/s air intake duct/hole in the front vallance. Also, the climate control computer shows a reasonable reading in the appropriate code (the thing you get to by holding DOWN and RECIRC). So why don't I get a reading in the normal place on my dash LCD display?

It is only enabled on cars with trip computer. You can ask your OPC or indy to enable this function with PIWIS.

If you want the "full" (!) OBC options (temp, average consumption, range to empty, average speed, speed warning), you need to install some kind of switch. Obviously OEM is to go to a three stalk layout (AFAIK you just add the additional arm, rather than requiring a whole new stalk assembly). Alternatively, add a toggle switch to the dash/centre console in lieu of a blanking "button". If you wish to add the OBC, for only apprx £100 extra you can add cruise control at the same time. Thanks for that, it seems that Wrightune can enable the OBC and fit a button in the dash for £120

Had my cruise control fitted by Tony Wright. Very nice chap. Lots of good reviews on here for his services (does pretty much anything needed by a Porsche).
