In 10,000 miles I've never felt the need for one, in fact I've only ever used the front windscreen washer once or twice (never had to fill the washer bottle up).

Yes, but the profile of the official Porsche washer jets has been developed over hundred of hours of air-tunnel testing so as not to create drag or introduce rear end lift at speed.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just come accross this on an OLD Porsche Exclusive website (for Cypress)

With Porsche Exclusive, it's now up to you to decide what kind of car you drive. The only thing we won't change is the quality. In this example,....
...Other Exclusive features include a padded leather steering wheel
and rear screen washer nozzle
I have often wanted one of these, I did not know it was an option to have a rear washer, often in town or if no rain etc, and dusty window i could do with it!
Anyone else have this, can it be retro fitted?
Also why the HELL is Porsche making this an Exclusive thing, should be standard on a £70k car the cheap skates!
I wonder where it feeds from; the main washer bottle in the front or would there be a separate bottle for it in the engine bay? A bit of a nerdy question but hey.

Sit down if you want to know the price (although it will clear up why it is such a rare option):
MOUSE OVER FOR REVEAL:
By the way, that price doesn't include the Rear Wiper (425) @ £295!
The prices are shocking!!
See this article here from 1987 when Porsche Exclusive was started and you will see that extreme prices for Exclusive are nothing new!
yummy!
and take into account mega inflation!

Would anyone actually want a rear windscreen washer? In 10,000 miles I've never felt the need for one, in fact I've only ever used the front windscreen washer once or twice (never had to fill the washer bottle up).
What's wrong with you people - do you not clean your cars...?! :dont know:
Yes, but the profile of the official Porsche washer jets has been developed over hundred of hours of air-tunnel testing so as not to create drag or introduce rear end lift at speed.
Clean them? Thats for people that dont use them... FAR too busy doing 600 mile road trips around the best driving roads in England and Scotland to worry about cleaning.
It is useful to have a cleaner to get rid of the muck, esp at this time of year!
