Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Note - I will be running michelin pilot sport cups for the tire and the car will be lowered 30 mm front and 20mm rear.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 99 C2 996 and am wondering what is the max tires one can put on the stock 18 inch turbo wheels (factory is 225 front and 265 rear)....Also, if I buy new wheels what is the max 18 inch tires and wheels I can fit on the car? Ideally I would like to put a 235 or 245 up front and a 295 or bigger in the rear, but I don't want to hear a bunch of rubbing and scrucbng. Note - I will be running michelin pilot sport cups for the tire and the car will be lowered 30 mm front and 20mm rear. I have no aerodynamic kit on the car and would be willing ot have fenders rolled if need be.
Also, has anyone tried to retrofit the GT-3 front camber plates to a 996?
Thanks in advance.
As a die hard Porsche fan and once owner of the
997.2 GT3RS
, I think this is the absolute pinnacle of Porsche cars this is the new GT3RS. Now that is been a couple of months and owners have taken delivery of them, the modders are out in full force trying to fit, develop, and install performance and styling components. The new 911 GT3RS really does not need anything. As a race car in a box, it would be silly to try to out do Porsche, or is it? The folks at HRE Wheels decided to show us what a set of
HRE wheels
would like on the new GT3RS with these renderings. They feature the 1 piece forged wheel design
P101
and a multi-piece cup style wheel design that is derived from the
C1 Series
. Having used HRE on a handful of our own Project Cars including our
997 Turbo
,
CLS63
, and
C63
, we are very in tune with fitments, styling, and what we think would look best on your ride. Enjoy these 991 GT3RS HRE Wheel photos and make sure to contact one of our Performance Specialist with any questions regarding wheels for your Porsche!

my guy from michelin just sent me a free set of ps2's and says 235 fronts and 295 rears are ideal for our 996...but there is wiggle room if you want to go up to a wider back.
They're sitting in my mailroom till i get my wheels.
NYC winters are brutal so im waiting till next year to put them on!!!
I am going to go with the 235 front and 295 rear combo, based on the folks I spoke with this setup will work with small to no problems. Now the trick is finding the right set of 18x8.5 and 18 x11 wheels.
