Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

I have the same/similar problem. I changed 3 different HID kits and all did the same thing. My left headlight will turn on for a few seconds and then go off. I turn the switch on-off a few times and sometimes they stay on, sometimes the light never comes on. Now, the light will eventually come on but only after driving a few minutes. it seems that the light comes on as the wiring warms up or at least it has to do with temperature. for example, during these summer months the light 95% of the times works fine. it is only in the winter months or when the temperature outside is below 63 degrees that the light will not come on. Here is a trick that works for me: before you turn your low beams on; pull on the high beams lever for a few seconds with your right hand and as the current runs to the high beams then turn the light switch (without releasing the high beam lever) with your left hand and you will notice that your low beams will stay on. then, simply release your high beam lever and that should keep you low beams working. at least it works for me. Rudy

Rudy, what kits did you use? Was any one of them the $200+ Philips kit? I have that one , but haven't had time yet to install it. Anyone else had trouble with the Philips HID kits?
