Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Every time I go over a bump in the road I get a knock that appears to be at the top of the drivers door, this may be related to the door catch, I have adjusted the catch to fit tighter but the knock is still there.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hi, Every time I go over a bump in the road I get a knock that appears to be at the top of the drivers door, this may be related to the door catch, I have adjusted the catch to fit tighter but the knock is still there. Is there any other adjustment I can make, what is the triangular shaped guide that is fixed to the body for, is that adjustable. This knock is a pain. 2005 Boxster S. Thanks, Bobclive.

POST 2Original post

Hmm. I have a creak on my driver's door but I imagine the strike plate adjustment will help with that. If you are hearing a knock, possibly something is loose behind the door panel?
