Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

To me this is very minor but has anyone else with manual seats had the feeling that the seat height isn't holding at that height? Every few weeks or so I'll get in my car and it seems like I'm lower than I normally like to sit. I won't think much of it and just pump the seat height lever a couple times and drive away. Tonight though, to see how low I actually was, I pumped the seat down to the floor and it only took about 3/4 of a pump to get to the lowest position! I know I sit higher than that so I think my seat is slipping over the course of a couple weeks. Anyone else experience this?

POST 2Original post

hmm... now that you mention it, mine might be doing the same thing. i've never paid that much attention to it cuz i just crank it up a few notches every now and then... will pay closer attention to it now...

POST 3Original post

I think both you guys are feeling the (undue) pressure of owning such a fine automobile- and such a low seating position. Get used to it. If either of you finds yourself lower than normal suspiciously, you might start suspecting your 'significant other' driving your car! :hilarious:

POST 4Original post

well i thought it might be in my head too, cuz i often change form my wifes SUV to my car. hard to say what it really is...hehehe

POST 5Original post

I have my seat in the highest position & noticed that over time it will slip lower. I'm wondering if there is a hydraulic cylinder rather than a mechanical control for height. Does anyone know?

POST 6Original post

There is a valve as well as a nut as it is hydrualic. And must be maintained just like a jack. The system is warrantied and since it is not that assesable take it to your dealer they will fix you right up. Could be air or a slow bleed either way good idea to have it fixed before you find yourself in the lowrider position. All the best!

POST 8Original post

hmm... what if my car is out of warrenty... is it a possible DIY'er

POST 9Original post

Wouldn't know since my seat id full down always!

POST 10Original post

YES YES YES. I thought it was just me. But it seems like I half to re-adjust a pull up or so every couple weeks. :hilarious:
