Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

28 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Welcome to the forum and Porsche ownership! (Even if yours isn't a proper one!) Just kidding!! You're right - loads of great characters with a mine of useless information. I haven't met any of them myself yet, but hope to soon at the next PH meet. Happy driving.

POST 2Original post

Good to see you got a proper porker :-) Now of these air cooled sheds that you see floating around...... Only Joking.... The 944 is an excellent car, And from the looks of the price you got yourself a bargain. There are plenty of 944 owners here myself included so welcome to PH from us all.

POST 3Original post

Welcome! Hope you enjoy the forum. Cheers Domster

POST 4Original post

Welcome....a meet is on the cards shortly. August 10th Pie On The Beach II. Hopefully this weekend I will be posting a map, times etc. If you're in the South come along and meet a few of us and enjoy a picnic!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the welcome chaps I am in the South so thanks for the info Don, I'll be checking back to get the full details and will come along Just one thing though.....addictive this isn't it!

POST 6Original post

Pat you cheeky fcuker.....mine isn't air cooled either, although it does have a slight oil leak. Normal apparently.

POST 7Original post

Greetings, Herr Steppenwulf. The 944 is a great car and hugely underrated by the great unwashed (a category into which far too many of our fellow subjects unfortunately find themselves mindlessly subscribed). Any plans to bore out the engine and instruct one of Germany's more ridiculously attired tuning specialists to extract a fair degree of drive shaft-bending power? Let the dribbling commence...

POST 8Original post

Only joking Greg :-) The Boxy S qualifies under the proper porker banner - JUST! Although qualification is enhanced by it having and oil leak - dont they all? >> Edited by dontlift on Wednesday 23 July 11:45

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Will Derestrictor, watch this space: I have read Dontlift's profile and I like your approach to 944 improvements. I might have to call on you for some tips in the future BTW, any tips on Hampshire based sources for spares and recommendations for servicing gratefully received

POST 12Original post

Any time chap, drop me a mail for phone number etc. Servicing: DIY Spares - most of the best ones are on the web - www.porsch-apart.co.uk/ EMC Engines + Others, but not 'Porsche Shop' cant say why in public I think i name most of my favorite suppliers in my profile

POST 13Original post

Pat, that place you ordered the towing eye from was absolutely bang on. Bit late (!), my only disappointment was I didn't get about 8 turn up.

POST 14Original post

like i say less said about porsche shop the better

POST 15Original post

Hello. Welcome to the madhouse! where some residents are more than others. DAZ

POST 16Original post

Hallo Stephen, welcome to the madhouse, BTW, do you know where Bruntingthorpe is?

POST 17Original post

Just popped in to say wellcome to the madhouse Wellcome

POST 19Original post

Welcome from another Porker newbie (if a little more seasoned on the PH gassing front). Hope you're enjoying your new motor.

POST 20Original post

Hi Stephen welcome to our little corner of Pistonheads. Is Bournemouth in Hampshire? If so then I have heard only good things about an independant Porsche Specialist by the name of Jon Mitchell - [email removed] £2600 is a blummin good price, I hope that leaves plenty in your budget to bolt on a Ninemeister supercharger

POST 22 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the welcome chaps Supercharger......now there's a thought

POST 24 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How much extra grunt would that release?

POST 25Original post

would make me grunt, groan and squeal a bit aswell Look up Ninemeister in the members profiles and have a look on his website for full details >> Edited by dontlift on Thursday 24th July 15:53

POST 26Original post

The kit that Ninemesiter installs is imported from www.speedforceracing.com/ and then tweaked by the Ninemeister S2's and 968's are getting 350bhp but take a look at the speedforce site to see figures and dynos for other 944's and also different levels of boost depending on budget.

POST 27 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Diver Heading off there now

POST 28 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello Everyone As the title says, this is my first post I'm a relatively new PHer, and a new Porsche owner (well, new to me) 3 children, mortgage and two sensible commuter cars means my Porsche is a modest weekend toy, but I always wanted a 944 and I'm actually really chuffed with it. These forum threads have been a mine of information, there's also some real characters out there (I guess you know who you are!) I'm loking forward to coming along to some events and meeting some of you Cheers
