Let me start from the begining, i had MY 02 light weight wheels for track use only, which look like the ones you have in your avatar, when i went to install fresh tires in the spring 3 out of 4 of them were bent, i guess from rumble strips on the track..

I am considering the Victor Equipment Innsbruck, but concerned about the effects of the not-quite-right Offsets. The price is right at about $1250/set shipped from Discount Tire Direct. From reading other threads, it seems that people like these wheels, but did not find any comments about track use or use with PSS10s.

With stock Offsets of Front = 52 and Rear at 65 the Innsbrucks will sit slightly wider.
I have PSS10 with a GT3 street alignment and height (max lowered without adjustable control arms, etc.
I use two different tire sizes at the track.
One for Hoosier R6 (swap at track)
Sizes:
F - 245/35/18
R - 285/30/18
and
the other for Falken 615K (for driving to/from track).
Sizes:
F - 235/40/18
R - 275/35/18
...and to my questions:
Anyone have experience with these wheels on the track?
Will the wider offsets have an affect on handling (good, bad, understeer, oversteer)?
Will these tires sizes fit without rubbing with stock fenders with the car lowered?

I am running MPSC's 235 40 18 on 8 inch Innsbruck wheels front, and 285 30 18 on 10.5 Innsbruck rear. I was freaking out when i first installed them at the track as i was sure the rears were going to rub, they looked scary wide for the narrow body car.. I even put race tape on the inside rear fenders to see is they rubbed. Then went around the paddock making some agressive turns to find out if they rubbed before heading onto the hot track.. I certainly didnt want to risk a blowout at high speed...
The good news... no rub, and no issues.. the wheels are lighter than the ones i replaced, and the car handled really beautifully. I am under the impression as you move the wheels further out with the different offset, you alter the geometry of the suspension. I have the X-73 suspension with very agressive negative camber which certainly helps. Some experts say the further you push the offseet the softer you suspension gets.. I feel the faster you are the softer your suspension appears..
The car feels and rotates very nicely through the corners, .. I just hope they are strong and hold up to the punishment of the track..
So far i would recommend them..
Rob, do you have any pics from the side? I have a Seal Gray C2 with black MY02 Carrera wheels, and I am interested to see how the Innsbruck's look. Thanks.
