Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All, I just picked up my '04 40th Anniversary on Saturday. I went to fill up the gas on Sunday. I found this item sitting around loosely in the gas door area. What is it? To me it looks like it guides a cable or rod, but I can't figure out where it goes or where it's from. Help please!

POST 2Original post

it is the rubber stop for the gas lid door. Check right were the gas lid closes. Not the hinge part. It fits in a little slot that the door lid closes onto...

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Woot! Thanks guys! It looks the "guide" for the power lock pin for the gas door. This piece was actually hard plastic. The "stopper flap" for the door has a semi-circle rubber piece on it so when the gas door closes it's a "softer" close. Thanks!
