Just curious if anyone knows the answer to this: How many times can I run the remote through the front loading washer/dryer before it stops working? This is the second time I asked my wife "What is that clanking around in the dryer?" "OH Sh... not the $250 Porsche key again???" Anyway it still worked hot out of the dryer. Hope it still works tomorrow.

Haven't washed and dried my porsche key fob, by my BMW key fob has been through at least a hand full of times - never had a problem.

We use vinegar for conditioner. I think the Bounce sheets help in the dryer. Only in the dryer ~2 minutes this time.

I just switched to my second original key fob (new in 11/99) as the first one's battery just died. Those Stuttgarters sure didn't scrimp on the quality of these batteries. I guess they made up for it in the IMS bearing selection.
