Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I've got a boatload of parts for my 4s (shocks, front shock mounts, mount bearing, tie rods, drop links etc) and I'm getting ready to do the back suspension. Is there any point in getting new rear mounts for the car? (110K miles)
Mine sound to have failed, and I'm only at 55k miles. It's either the shock mounts, or my drop links - either way, if you already have everything apart anyways, better to replace them now than to find out you need to disassemble it all over again in a month.
My Indy is replacing my front mounts with camber plates as I type this. Also installing H&R clubsports. My mounts were worn badly. At your mileage I'd replace all mounts and be done with it.
Rears are a lot cheaper than the fronts, I bought mine in 4/2009 & they were :
QTY 2 996-333-059-03 REAR SUPPORT MOUNTS $85.16ea from Sunset,
though for some insane reason, Pelican has them listed now for $168.50 each! Maybe they meant per pair, I'd call. I'd be shocked to find they had doubled in price in 3 years.
Because I was lowering with PSS9s, I decided to bite the bullet back then, & install the X74 front upper strut mounts, which allow more camber adjust and are stiffer. The rears are the same on all cars. They were a few $s more than the stock ones, and had to come out of Germany.
QTY 2 996-343-980-08 $110.54ea FRONT SUPPORT MOUNT X74 available
out of Germany
Much better..though still surprised they went up $25 each for an old part. Too many stories of torn mounts when the struts came out, so if your gonna do it, do it big, and avoid the headache.
