Tanks barn,do you have any reason for the turbo choice? Which one is more fuel economy? Is they both do around 30miles per gallon?

If your buying a Porsche based on fuel economy you need to look at other cars. The motor in the turbo has a long history of rock solid durability(if properly maintained) and has a long racing history. The targa engine is strong but can have more problems than a comparative turbo engine.

Strictly for practicality I'd go with a targa. You can get it wife-approved because it's a hatchback...amirite?

Turbo, The targa you not only have the Targa issue thats seems when they break they break with big cost to repair. But you also have the IMS issue. where you have none of these with the turbo and lets face it... putting your foot down on that is going to bring a smile to your face. To me the targa is the lest desireable of the cars.

Turbo!!! Better engine, faster and the Targa is asking for roof problems. Now the best would be a Turbo Cab!!
