Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I know this usually isn't something people do here, but i wanted to say hello to everyone. I do not currently own a 996, but I have been looking for a month now, and will probably be getting a c4s within the next few months. This will be my first vehicle in over 10 years. I have been subjected to company vehicles such as ford windstar, town and country mini vans, and I currently have a chevy equinox. I'm ready to get something that I enjoy. All of you have helped solidify my choice, and I hope to be a part of this community for a while. Your posts helped me, and will continue to help me going forward. So, thank you very much, and I'll be looking forward to showing off my c4s here soon enough.

POST 2Original post

Good choice. That's the one I wish I had purchased in hindsight but no real regrets on my C4. Just watched the old Top Gear episode with the 03 C4S.

POST 3Original post

Welcome and look forward to seeing your new C4S whenever you get it.

POST 4Original post

Howdy and welcome. Hopefully you'll be a C4S owner soon!

POST 5Original post

Patience is a virtue. I hope your decision pays off for you.

What episode is that? I'd love to see that.

POST 7Original post

Saw Top Gear this morning back to back episodes...1) 996, Jag XKR and BMW 600 racing on a beach, 2) 911 GT3 vs Ferrari 360 on a track. Good day to watch, but Clarkson once again showed his dislike for Porsches. Oh, and hello to the OP. Goodluck with your Search/Purchase!

POST 9Original post

Welcome ! I am relatively new to this forum, but I can tell you as a new p-car owner, there are not a better bunch of people to have on your side when you need help.

Welcome! a proper hello indeed. Use the search function to learn even more & you might want to stop by the Ruf shop to see what they have to offer. Be as patient as you have been racing your minivan!

Hahah. Racing a minivan gets my blood pumping. Nothing like getting that thing up to 60 mph in 14 seconds and feeling that panic of not knowing if the speed limit is 55 or 65mph. Such a danger zone! As far as RUF is concerned. They actually have a c4s 02 that looks good in the pics. I need to get by there and check it out. I really want to hold out for a black or blue ext with brown interior. Black in and out is my second choice...which is what RUF has.
