Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have no recollection of any time in the past 60 years that Porsche used a dark metallic green as their color to carry the Zuffenhausen rennsport flag (attention 987 series Boxster RS60 fans: that is why they are silver and red).
Leading evidence: 'Use dark metallic green as their color' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). I wash her every week none the less, but it "stays looking clean" longer.

Do you have a car with you - can you run a few 'long' errands that include a stop for a cold sanity beer?

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Unfortunately, yes.
What color did I miss? I tried to hit the primary ones?
NFW - not touching those.
That would fall under the selection of
Black
Trying to get some results for criteria I haven't seen discussed before.
I will and will have to investigate that option.
I have this great Bloom County Sunday cartoon strip I have kept since the early 1990's - jist of it is they are sittin' around deciding how to prioritize their lives in the face of ultimate doom. They all want a Porsche 911, but realize that might not be the best choice for the final decisions of life. They cogitate a bit longer about what would be most important if they were about to die in 3 months like Michael Landon, and knew it - what was
really
important ... they thought about it in silence, ... and then...collectively... "Red... gotta be red."
I keep that cartoon in the front inside pocket of the 4" 3-ring binder that holds all the original magazine articles, documentation, factory sales manuals, order paperwork, delivery paperwork, Certificate of Authenticity, factory article and photos sent to PCA newsletter editors (of which I was one at that time) for my 1999 996 Coupe... in Guards Red. My 16th Porsche, but also my 4th Guards Red 911.
My first Guards Red was a 1997 993 coupe. Then a 1999 Guards Red coupe, (there was then a Speed Yellow 2001 coupe followed by a white 2002 coupe) , but I returned to my original 1999 Guards Red coupe after that. Yes, Virginia,... a car so nice I bought it twice...
Red is not my favorite color. Green is my first choice. I have never owned a green Porsche. Porsche seems to go out of its way to make green colors that are either dull or Gaudy. The last good choice for me was in 1976 - Ice Green Metallic - on the 912E. Since then, only disappointment or shock.
Which brings me to the newly mixed for the 997.2 Porsche Racing Green Metallic. uhmmm... Porsche racing colors were originally officially silver paint with red leather, until white with black became the new deal. I have no recollection of any time in the past 60 years that Porsche used a dark metallic green as their color to carry the Zuffenhausen rennsport flag (attention 987 series Boxster RS60 fans: that is why they are silver and red).
Porsche got it right for me in 1953 with Radium Green Metallic on the 356. Perhaps my next new Porsche will be PTS with that choice. I'll have to ask Gary Kempton for the part number, next time we chat.
Silver-
More poll suggestions- Wheel preference, Wing preference, Tire preference, Other options etc....
OT Polls- Non P car in your drive way etc....
Hope this helps occupy your weekend,
Arctic Silver - I guess there are a couple shades of silver out there. Not my first choice, if I could have found Seal Grey I would have gone with that... I took a hard look at a green one, but the tan interior was a bit much for me; if it had been black I probably would have picked that one up.
When it came down to writing the check though, I thought the Arctic Silver would be a good choice and I'm reasonably happy with it... The nice thing about this color is that any hack (like me) with a PC and a black bonnet can make the thing look good... but the bad thing about it is, that any hack (like me) that rubs it for the better part of a Saturday can't tell the difference in the before and after...

Silver - wanted a car that would blend in with traffic (i.e., not stand out to cops) and as close to the color of dirt as possible (so I'm less obsessive about washing it or avoiding using it in weather that would get it dirty).
Arctic Silver, was not even on my list of colors I wanted but it was a great car at a great price (at the time) and I went for it. It has grown on me since, especially with the Aerokit.
Black interiors are a must for me
Color makes a huge difference on private party resale ! My blue 993 would have sold alot faster and for more $$ if it had been black not midnight blue,so of course I bought a lapis blue 996.
It would have been my color of choice but Ive come to like my Pastel Yellow car mainly for the fact that there arent many out there and it also has factory pin striping which is also rare. It stands out from sea of Speed Yellow cars that are all too common.
GT Silver does look awesome, especially as the day goes on! But I think only on the 40th cars right? I don't think you could even get it on the TTs without paying through the nose. I love black but it is a lot of work. I think my happy medium is seal or slate, next time.
i dont know what my colour is...its kinda silver on some days and kinda blue on other days....so should i put silver or blue? anyone know the name of that colour? its an '02 C2
I have always been partial to black. I love the reflections. The thing I like about the GT silver is it's ability to hide minor scratches and dust. I wash her every week none the less, but it "stays looking clean" longer.
This was very surprising for me coming from the BMW crowd, where white is the standard. It looks like I might have to do some searching to get another white one.
Mine is Gold, it was not an option.
(I did not read all the other posts if this was already mentioned)
ETA: I believe it is "Palladio Metallic" & it never looks dirty either....
