Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261026T105141Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This might be the dumbest post ever. Ever. Missed the CD drawer (wasn't paying enough attention clearly) and lodged a CD above the console, under the disc player. Tried to get out with other disc, paper, thin things and failed. To remove said disc, I need to take console out I'm assuming? Disc is stuck here

POST 2Original post

There's a metal frame there. So your best bet might be to poke it out from the side. You can pry off the trim on the extreme left and right of the picture in line with your red arrow. Just pull out (towards the side of the car) with your fingers gripping from the back of the trim (front of car). The trim will pop right off (install just pops right back in, no tools) At that point you should be able to see the side or back of the CD and poke something in there to move it sideways or forwards (like a butter knife).

POST 3Original post

Pop out the middle two, adjacent, CD drawers to use as removal handles (to give you equal purchase on each side) and tug the CD storage out of the console. It is just snapped in. Then you should be able to get at the wayward CD.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Excellent. Thanks both. Adding "changing discs" to list of prohibited activities in car.

POST 5Original post

And be sure to take some Advil or Alleve for your slipped disc...

POST 6Original post

a long piece of tape...one side to the passenger area, one to the drivers side..slip it in there and it should "grab" the disc...then pull to the rear of the vehicle or a sledge hammer
