Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I will try an all purpose degreaser that I use for the engine every year or so and test out if the discoloration can be just a stain.
Leading evidence: 'Use engine every year or so' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use engine every year or so' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. If you go for a billet cap save the yellow cap and modify it to be used with a manometer .
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Shout out to Skip and Chris on the UAOS and the new oil filler neck designed by Chris. Got the UAOS and the neck, with the track drain option and its in place. Here are the first pics. Not a fan of the Subaru oil filler cap, but I'll find a billet version.

Get's fired up tomorrow and then off to a PCA CVR chapter event.
Sasiverbullet. I asked my tech the same thing. He routed it to another coolant line that was open, presumably from the elimination of another hose. I will ask about it today when I pick it up and report back.
I have one of the early UAOS and it works. Skip is a great guy. I just wish the anodization wasn't discoloring. Now it's brown/blackish (maybe from heat?). I wonder if the surface is too smooth.
@jyoteen
that is quite interesting, I haven't seen that before. Have you tried a REALLY STRONG CLEANER ? LIke Alcohol, CHC Brake Cleaner , Acetone, Gasoline, Mineral Spirits ect.? ...I would think it is more a tough stain than a discoloring..
The Hard Anodizing used on the UAOS Accumulators is the toughest/hardest/most scratch resistant surface treatment that can be done on Aluminum...But the Hard Anodizing does leave the surface a little micro-porous and can hold stains very well, so an aggressive cleaner may be needed..
I haven't tried an agressive cleaner but I guess I can try it. In CA we have a visual inspection for emissions and any equipment out of the 'ordinary' can be flagged. It sucks but sadly a potential reality. I will try an all purpose degreaser that I use for the engine every year or so and test out if the discoloration can be just a stain.
Thanks!
@jyoteen
no worries about passing CA SMOG. The UAOS system is 100% legal in CA and with 100's of them in Cali no one has been flagged for "visual" non-compliance and fits within the guidlines of "Apendix G " of the CA SMOG guidelines...
Yes, please try some very aggressive clears on the Accumulator.. ( just no acids) ...I think the stain will come off...
