Now my window drop issue is fixed but when I use the remote to lock the car nothing happens and when I insert the key into the driver's side door and turn it will lock the driver's side but not the passenger's side.

I saw in that Rennlist thread that parts coming from Europe to a US car can malfunction and that it might be able to be fixed at a dealer by adjusting the country code.

I called my local dealer who said they've seen this issue before and if the correct door lock was installed, they can run an "adaptation" which will cost me $300 for an 1 hour of labor.

My center console lock button does nothing. The scanner gives me error code 61. However, when I do the emergency lock by inserting and turning the key 3 times rapidly, it will lock both the driver and passenger side doors. I saw in that Rennlist thread that parts coming from Europe to a US car can malfunction and that it might be able to be fixed at a dealer by adjusting the country code. This technique is mentioned in this thread: https://www.renntech.org/topic/57882...-light-issues/ I called my local dealer who said they've seen this issue before and if the correct door lock was installed, they can run an "adaptation" which will cost me $300 for an 1 hour of labor. Or they can just swap the part with the correct lock. The worst case scenario is that I pay for them to try the adaptation, it fails, then I have to pay parts and labor for a replacement on top of that. I guess what I'm trying to figure out now is if there are any clues I could check to see if I should risk the $300 adaptation attempt or just pay up for the full swap parts and labor. Surely the fact that the passenger door is able to lock with the 3 key turn technique must mean something?
