Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I ordered it from Auto Parts Warehouse and used their on line chat to order.

I need to change my clutch also and have the same car as bfutch.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I believe the OEM is Sachs. I am in the middle of doing my IMS and got my clutch kit from Rockauto.com for $443. It is a Sachs and looks to be the exact same as the OEM Sachs with different numbers printed on the parts. Rockauto seemed to be the cheapest place I could find.
Where on earth can one buy a Sach's Sport Clutch kit for $350? The best price I've seen is around $1000 for the clutch, pp and TO bearing.
This is the one:

Here's another "sport" clutch kit. If anyone has any experience with Spec Stage 2 clutches I'd love to hear their opinion. I need to change my clutch also and have the same car as bfutch.

I would recommend the stock clutch.
Price discrepancy in the above posts may be from clutch disk vs. entire clutch kit (clutch disc + pressure plate + throw out bearing).
I just found the best deal on a complete Sachs Clutch Kit which includes, pressure plate, disc, and T/O bearing for $471.56 which includes free shipping. Clutch kits for 1999-2001 996s are somewhat cheaper.
I ordered it from Auto Parts Warehouse and used their on line chat to order. The original cost was $523.95 with free shipping. Once I spoke to the on line representative I was able to get another $52.00 discount!
