This is not a probability of success.

I sold my 996 a few years ago and was going through a drawer the other day and ran across a few key fob's that have the remote unlock buttons on them.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I sold my 996 a few years ago and was going through a drawer the other day and ran across a few key fob's that have the remote unlock buttons on them. Does anyone know what they are worth? I was going to put them for sale in the member classified section but wanted to ask a fair RL price...

POST 2Original post

Can you pass them along to the dude who ended up with your car?

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I traded my car in on a Range Rover Sport and have no idea where it ended up?

POST 6Original post

Was it a silver c2 99? Mine only came with one key lol

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

here is a pic...if the owner is a RL member, let me know. Otherwise, what are the fobs worth? $50 each or more/less. I suspect they are several hundred from the dealer...just want to come up with a fair price for a RL member... thanks

POST 8Original post

If you have the barcode tag that goes with the keys they can be reprogrammed, without the barcode they are useless. I found out the hard way, bought one on eBay and my dealer couldn't do anything with it.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

@ whisky...thanks. @white99c2...bar code? Is that something I can get from the dealer?

POST 12Original post

All used porsche keys are only good for the outer casing that's all. The transponder pill inside cannot be reprogrammed once it has been learned by a porsche. When you try programming a used pill the computer will not take the key it will give error message " key already learned" also the remote side of things cannot be programmed with out a 14 digit random barcode. The barcodes come with new keys & people normally dispose of them once programmed to a car. Hope this helps

POST 13Original post

about 100-200$ to the guy who bought the car if you have the *****.
