Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I drilled holes in it and put in self taping screws but still can't pull it out. I plan on replacing the case bolts and have loosed the two closest to the RMS. Do I need to loosed the other at the same time.

POST 2Original post

saw this on the 993 forum... https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...-w-pics-9.html

POST 3Original post

be careful! you dont want to scar that crank it will leak then. I tapped mine in a TAD to break it loose. this also deformed it a bit and allowed me to remove it. I drilled the hole and used a drywall screw to grab mine. That pix scares the crap out of me even as innocent as it seems to be..

POST 4Original post

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got it by deforming it. The trick with the self tapping screws didn't work for me.

Just to let people know... The RMS from Pelican Parts comes with a tool to help install the RMS and makes it quite simple. You still need to make sure your depth is even but there is no issue starting the seal squarely.
