When I first got my 996 I could unlock or lock the doors from about 30 feet away or so using the key fob remote.

Remote door lock question: When I first got my 996 I could unlock or lock the doors from about 30 feet away or so using the key fob remote. About 6 months ago the remote stopped working as well, and I have had to be standing progressively closer over the last few months. Most recently it works only when standing right next to the car, and sometimes requires several pushes of the button. I've changed the battery twice, and tried the other key with no improvement in the ability of the car to sense the remote. Any suggestions?

I'll be curious to hear what others say. I have to be standing about 5 feet from my car to get it to unlock, too. And that's with brand new batteries in the keys. Cheers, -- Mike
