My last option is too change the seal but I can't imagine how a new seal would fix that and they are like $300.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am having this weird leak on passenger side. Its a 99 convertible. I had problem with the top not coming on correctly that just got fixed (loose bushing one one side and broken cable on other). I was hoping this would fix my leak but it didn't. The water pools on the door frame seal and then ones it gets full it will spill into passenger foot well. It's alot of water like one cup in heavy rain. I stripped the door to see if its coming from there and the door is bone dry. I am running out of ideas. My last option is too change the seal but I can't imagine how a new seal would fix that and they are like $300. Any suggestions for troubleshooting this?

POST 2Original post

This may be caused by clogged drains. There are thin rubber hoses that drain water into the wheel wells. If they are clogged the water will find it's way into the car. Check out this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...er-drains.html

POST 3Original post

Has your door card ever been off? If the seal on the water barrier (under the door card) is broken this could happen. Also check the drains in the bottom of the door.
