Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a bit of air noise coming from the windows while driving at higher speeds. I've searched pelican parts and cannot seem to locate anything that looks like the seals where the top of the windows meets the roof. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thank you.

POST 2Original post

A cheap first step would be to apply a little Gummi Pfledge and see if it doesn't help create a better seal. https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog...einszt_pg5.htm

POST 3Original post

I use some spray on silicone to lube my seals. That being said, there are two plastic plugs under the door that allow you to access the bottom regulator bolts that adjust how tight the window seats against the seal. I think moving the bottom of the regulator just a tad outboard moves the top part of the window tighter against the seal. if I remember correctly.....

POST 4Original post

It's probably an adjustment issue. Check out step 6 of this guide: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart..._and_Motor.htm

POST 5Original post

+1 for the Gummi Pfledge by Nextzett. Awesome stuff even if you do end up adjusting your windows. Excellent product. Even 303 Aerospace treatment is better than nothing.

POST 6Original post

i had a an air noise coming from my windshield at anything over 160km/hr. A new porsche OE windsheild seal and I was back to no noise.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

You guys are the best! I really appreciate it. Thank you.

POST 8Original post

When I bought my 996, the tint was beginning to lift at the edges. I was getting wind noise from the tint film folding over in the seal, creating a small air channel. Just thought I would throw that out there before you drop $$$ on a seal. Good luck!

POST 9Original post

I get a bit of noise too but always thought it was that little cover that the roof rack attaches to.
