Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My Car Is A 2001 996 ,Just got off the phone with my Indy and they need 5k for this repair both sides. My question is , is this a good deal? I don't want anything generic going in, but I'm not sure what's fair. The money 5k , the car is worth it to me. So any input on this from anyone. Cars ims was replaced in 2013 by word of mouth, I have a sticker under the door but it's been painted over. My Car has also got a engine from a 1999 donor it seems.
I've tried calling, but I think we are to far apart for his help, we are leaving any day now heading back home base . I thought The repair estimates were excellent and very fair in my opinion. The mechanic is a class act, straight up Guru. Excellent shop in every way possible and there racers with credit. We are very happy and very excited. The lights at the end of this tunnel is starting to shine pretty bright now. So excited
I appreciate the kind words, I'll write a book about it one day. It's all coming to a end now, and just a few days ago it almost ended in disaster due to me being a hothead
The time and money spent on this 966 will be showing it's fruit of our labor soon. Wow 36 more straight hours of love going into her with the repair. Monday I'm going to go square up with my Indy so they can button this up and get some parts flying our way. Should be rolling by next weekend for sure.

If you like the hard top, do it. But it isn't light and it doesn't just drop on and away you go. In a winter climate I'd use one, but here in So Cal, even in our coldest nights I love to drop the top and go for a drive. And it gives good exercise to the top mechanism.
+1 on this, that's how I found mine. Had to drive a couple hours to pick it up but it only cost me $400. Also, you might ask your Indy if he knows of any local dismantlers who might have one lying around.
Ok it's My top now. Spoke now with the gentleman twice, he is holding it for me till We arrive back home base. Super guy, thanks y'all for the heads up. Outstanding
When you get back to the proper side of the continent, let us know if you need a hand with anything...there are a bunch of us in the San Diego area; between the lot of us, we have a decent selection of specialty tools.
Thanks so much guys, I'll do that. I'll be in need of some repairs when I arrive, I'll have the money for the parts, the party favors and we can knock it oit
