Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Had to use the dremel to take off about a 1/16 of an inch to get them to snap in.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yes, very flimsy design & cheap plastic, my driver side cover just fell-off on my lap one day even though i never used it. Just get a new one re-solder the 2 wires if yours has light, good-luck, cheers
Well, at least it doesn't have the fugly airbag decal...but $100....nah...

I've had this in my list of "someday" items.
I finally decided to get it for my passenger mirror and just ordered it.
I hate that people who ride in my car see this imperfections right in front of their face during their ride.
It's worth it to me to fix it.
I had to replace both of them in my cab after i purchased it. If you have the visors up there's a chance the roof will catch and take them off, so always flip the visors down when closing the roof. That's even in the owners manual if I recall correctly.
Not a hard repair, but I'd not want do do it again.....
Some 3M adhesive remover and lots of elbow grease will get the air bag decals off. And it looks much better.
Some adhesive velcro dots hold the broken sun visor mirrors covers closed just fine. Been in place about 8 years, still going strong. Total cost, about $1.
Both the covers were removed/missing when i purchased mine from the dealer. I see no point in fixing it. If your covers are flapping in the wind, remove them and be done with it.
I have had to replace both of mine at different times. I found the whole visor intact once $59 and the other was $98 on ebay. If you can find the visor in your color they just slip off the metal rail and the "new" ones slide back on. I think it was autohaus junk yard that had them both.
I bought the $19 ones from Amazon and installed them earlier this Morning. Had to use the dremel to take off about a 1/16 of an inch to get them to snap in. Not fabulous but they work okay and look pretty close to factory.
