Suggestion

He needs to learn the art of covering jump cuts with the use of b-roll, but that's just my producer side coming through.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Could anyone improve on this in any way? Like being a food person and never having eaten lasagna. 996 Porsche 911: A Bargain Machine for the Discerning Driver - YouTube

POST 2Original post

thanks for sharing, hadn't seen it yet. Agree with a lot of things he noted in the review.

POST 3Original post

Fellini - he is not. But all in all pretty good.

POST 5Original post

Share his logic and passion about this model, not pretentious and just the right proposition, that's why I bought myself another one after owning one in 1999 and trying almost every newer version, just make a lot of sense to me, now days is all about how much more you're willing to pay for leather wrapped air vents.. Thanks for sharing and drive them

POST 6Original post

Timing in life is everything.... I bought my first Porsche last month, for just about every reason pointed out in this video. He sure did grin a lot, didn't he?

POST 7Original post

This guy is a tool. Firstly, he needs to stay in his own lane. Secondly, there is nothing perfect about a stock 996 shifter. Thirdly, a 996 is not raw Finally, what the hell is that ring he's wearing. Waste of the five minutes I was able to stomach.

POST 8Original post

...and if you read the YouTube comments, he pussed out and didn't buy one. This may be in the video, but...I didn't watch it all.

POST 9Original post

The base car didn't come with sport seats. It was a little presumptuous, I thought, but not any where near as bad as some I've seen. He can't drive worth a dam.... He's right, though, they are a bargain, especially if you can wrench yourself.

POST 10Original post

Hey, this guy guarantees the 996 will reach 993 prices. Yay. 5 Best Things about Porsche 911 Carrera (996) (HD) - YouTube

haha. yea, he is clueless (i.e. without a clue... about the car and about driving the car)

POST 13Original post

I like the 4 disc cd chnager in the dash. Damn millenials.

POST 15Original post

"it's better than he remembered when he drove one at 16 years old" Now there's a statement. That beats lasagna.

POST 16Original post

I thought he did a good job. Nice little vid.

POST 17Original post

^^I agree overall, nice video with some positive thoughts about the 996. However, I'm not sure I completely agree with his analysis on the throw distance of the 993, but I guess it's all very subjective. He needs to change gears a little better but maybe it's because he was concentrating on what he was saying on the video. He needs to learn the art of covering jump cuts with the use of b-roll, but that's just my producer side coming through.

I agree, but you video guys have it easy. Audio edits are nasty if not done properly.

This is my #1 pet peeve on all the youtube videos. Even done by professional outfits. I'm constantly amazed at the lack of sound production on videos even by the likes of Jay Leno's Garage and the like.
