Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a Canadian 911 with day time running lights. For some reason the front park light, side marker light and rear passenger twilight stay on when they should be off. I played around with various light switch setting and can't get it turned off. I've ready of similar issues on other 996s but can't seem to pin point the exact problem, any advise? Car is a 2002 996 911 c2 thanks !

POST 2Original post

I suspect your DRL relay is acting up. Someone actually opened one up and found the contacts to be bad inside. Maybe you can try that. Also, not sure if it's conclusive but if you remove the DRL relay, those lights should be OFF.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

thanks for the tip.. drl relay located in cabin, drivers side?

POST 4Original post

Driver's side kick panel way up above the fuses. The relay is wide and it takes up TWO relay slots - positions 6 & 7 shown here http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=77063
